As you are traveling this summer, please be sure to bring back any extra toiletry items from your hotel stays!
They are a great help to women who are residents at the Rockdale Shelter for battered women.

Salem UMC is hosting Family Promise on September 24 - October 1.
We are in need of
FOOD: Prepare a meal for 6-12 people, or partner with another volunteer to do so; you may drop off your contributions, or stay to serve the meal. MEAL HOST: Come provide hospitality during one of evening meals, eating with and visiting with our guests. OVERNIGHT HOSTS: Come spend the night in the Family Life Center (in your own separate "bedroom"), being available if our guest have a need (rare). VAN DRIVERS: Usually our guests have their own transportation, but sometimes we may need to transport some to/from school or work.

Salem will furnish the hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. You bring side dishes and your hungry self.
We will honor our Sunday School teachers and all school personnel.
Karate Kids for Christ

Registration in the Family Life Center for the upcoming
Fall Session. This is a FREE program offered by Salem
UMC. Please invite your friends and neighbors.
Classes are for ages Pre-K thru Adults.
The UMW will be collecting items for Layette Kits for UMCOR. The kits will be assembled and then taken to the Annual Conference in June. All items are needed by Sunday, May 28.

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) welcomes all youth from 6th – 12th grades. UMYF meets during the school year. Please see below the schedule of activities for April. Come to church, UMYF and Sunday School and invite your friends!
Spring Break Service Project / Field Trip
April 5 — 10:30 am – 1:00 pm.
Children and youth ages 3 through High School are invited to join us as we take gifts to the residents of Merryvale Assisted Living in Oxford, GA. After our visit, we will go to Stevie B’s for lunch. Bring money for lunch. We will meet at the church at 10:30 am. Please contact Annette Harmon or Carol Rodock to sign up.
Easter Egg Hunt
April 15 at noon
Youth will stuff eggs on April 9th at 4:30 and arrive early to hide eggs on the 15th. They will stay to help lead the children.
The Easter Bunny will once again make his appearance to give treats to and take pictures with the children.
Hot dog luncheon will follow the hunt.
The public is invited to this event.

VBS will be June 12—15. The Block Party will be on Sunday, June 11.
